Privacy Policy

This site (isclaudeup.com) is a free utility that shows the live status of Claude and Claude Code. It is operated by Snackpack Universe (ABN 51 918 351 341), a sole trader based in Australia. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Anthropic.

What we collect

• Your email address — only if you choose to subscribe. When you submit the signup form, your email is sent to our email provider (Brevo) and used solely to notify you about Claude's status (for example, when an outage ends). We never sell your email.
• Nothing required to use the page. You can check Claude's status without giving us any personal information.

Cookies and local storage

We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. The "panic-checks" counter and a couple of display preferences are stored locally in your own browser (local storage) and are never sent to us. The Brevo signup form may set cookies necessary for the form to function. If you install this site as an app (or simply revisit it), a service worker stores a copy of the page, its styles and its images in your browser’s cache so it still loads during an outage. That cache lives only on your device and is never transmitted to us; clearing your browser data removes it.

Analytics

We use a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool (Cloudflare Web Analytics) to count visits and understand traffic — for example, how many people check during an outage. It does not use cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect information that identifies you personally.

Third parties

Data may pass through these services when you use the relevant feature:

• Brevo — email signup and delivery (your email address). See Brevo's privacy policy.
• Stripe — if you choose to make a voluntary contribution, payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• status.claude.com — your browser fetches Anthropic's public status feed directly to display Claude's status, and its public incident feed to build the outage history page. Both requests go from your browser straight to Anthropic; they do not pass through us.
• GitHub Pages — hosts this website and may process standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security and delivery.

Advertising

This site does not currently serve third-party display ads. If that changes, this policy will be updated to describe any advertising partners and your choices, and (where required) a consent banner will be shown before such cookies are set.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe any time using the link in any email we send you.
• Access or delete your data by contacting us (see below); we'll remove your email from our list on request.
